- Commercial and industrial dryers — gas, electric, and steam, sized to the linen's drying factor (typically 15–40% over washer capacity) so drying never throttles the wash line.

Sizing at plant scale
Plant sizing is throughput engineering: the pounds per hour your contracts demand, worked backward through washer cycles, extract performance, and dry time. The same arithmetic that sizes a hotel OPL — annual poundage worked down to pounds per hour, ~1.3 wash loads per hour, dryer capacity set by the linen's drying factor — applies, just with bigger numbers and less forgiveness. - The floor. Hard-mount washer-extractors need a foundation engineered for the load; soft-mount machines trade that for higher cost and easier placement. Retrofits often hinge on this alone.
- Extract force. At volume, every point of moisture retention is dryer gas and cycle time, all day, every day. High-G extract pays for itself fastest in exactly the operations that run hardest.
- Utilities at scale. Steam availability, gas line capacity, water and drain sizing, and the electrical service decide what's installable before throughput math decides what's ideal.
- Workflow. Load paths, cart traffic, and finishing capacity — a wash line that outruns its finishing end just moves the bottleneck.

What to put in your quote request
The more of this you include, the faster the quote comes back real: your target throughput (pounds per hour or per day), the linen mix (flatwork, garments, heavy soil), what's running today and what's failing, the utilities available in the room (gas, steam, electrical service), and any building constraints — floor, doorways, ceiling height. Photos of the existing room help more than anything.

Hard-mount or soft-mount washer-extractors?
Hard-mount machines cost less and last forever but need an engineered foundation. Soft-mount machines install almost anywhere — upper floors, retrofits — and typically spin at higher extract speeds, which cuts dry time. The building usually makes this decision before the budget does.
Does Arrow handle installation?
Yes — Arrow's own crew installs what Arrow sells, engineered against your utilities, floor, and workflow. Sales, installation, and service are one relationship, not three vendors.
